I'm Michael Leizerman. My trials are all about story, a truthful story. They have to be. That's the best way to teach a jury and persuade them. We teach children through stories. The Bible teaches through stories. It's the best way to teach and persuade a jury, whichever side has the most memorable and believable story, wins. The story is the whole truth. Both the positives and the negatives.
Now the trial's not about me. It can't be. It's a day for my client to tell their story.
This takes a lot of preparation on my part. It means making sure that every witness, and the injured person, and the experts are all part of a compelling, interesting, and truthful story. I've found this has been very successful for me.
