Virginia Truck Driver Killed in Fiery Accident
A Fort Defiance, Virginia man sustained fatal injuries from a tractor trailer accident that took place on Wednesday, October 17, 2007. The accident occurred around 9:30pm on I-81 at Showalter Road in Maugansville.
The Maryland State Police have reported that the tractor trailer was traveling northbound when it veered off the road, drove across a ramp, went through a guardrail, and drove over an embankment. The driver was ejected and the tractor trailer burst into flames.
The accident is still under investigation.
