I-95 Truck Accident Kills 3 People

On Friday, November 2, 2007, all lanes of I-95 in Waterford, CT were shut down after a gas tanker collided with a tractor trailer and at least 4 other cars. Witnesses report the gas tanker weaving erratically between traffic and tailgating other vehciles when it lost control and drove into oncoming traffic on the southbound lanes.

In addition to I-95, the state police have also shut down the southbound lanes of interstate 395 where it meets I-95 and US Route 1.Authorities have estimated that it may take up to 8 hours to clean the highway.
